Biography

Joaquín D. Tutor Sánchez is Doctor in Physical Sciences from the University Of Havana, Cuba (1995). Since 2009 he is associate professor doctor of the ETSI-ICAI of the Universidad Pontificia Comillas. From 1977 to 1997 he was a professor at the Pedagogical University of Havana, Cuba, where he served as Head of the Departments of Didactics of Physics and Theoretical Physics; from 1997 to 1999 he was Research Professor in the section of Natural and Basic Sciences of the Science and Technology Agency of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment of Cuba where he developed the National Program of Science and Technology of New Materials and Advanced Materials , being his Executive Secretary until 2003, he also elaborated the Basic Sciences Branch Program in Cuba. From 1999 to 2003 he was Professor of Research at the Institute of Materials and Reagents of the University of Havana, Cuba, holding the position of Deputy Director of Research from 2000 to 2002. From 2005 to 2008 he was Director of Quality of the Technology Company of Chain de Frio ADVANCED PRODUCTS ESPAÑA, in Madrid, Spain. In 2009 he was a professor of two modules of Nanotechnology in the Master of Nanotechnology at ALITER, International Business School in Madrid, Spain. From 1990 to 1993 he was a member of the AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF PHYSICS TEACHERS of the USA; from 1991 to 1994 he was a young associate of the INTERNATIONAL CENTER OF THEORETICAL PHYCS of the Academy of Sciences of the Third World in Trieste, Italy. From 1999 to 2003 he was Ibero-American Coordinator of the Thematic Network IX-E "Estudio, He has co-authored textbooks of Didactics of Physics and Mathematical Analysis for students of Physics in Cuba; He is the author of a textbook of Quantum Mechanics for students of the Profesoral Career in Physics in Cuba, co-editor and co-author of the book "Semiconductor Nanostructures: fundamentals and applications" (Doppel SL 2003.España) and co-editor and co-author of the book Guía Didáctica de Teaching of Nanotechnology for Secondary Education. Since 2010, he has been the organizer of Nanotechnology activities at the Science Week in Madrid at the ETSI-ICAI of the Universidad Pontificia Comillas. As associate professor-doctor of the ETSI-ICAI he has been professor of subject theory: Electromagnetic Fields, Electromagnetism, Materials Science, and Nanotechnology: Applications to the Energy Sector (ALE) and Nanotechnology (OC); He has been professor of Laboratories of the subjects: Heat Transmission, Fluid Mechanics, Materials Science, Selection and Control of Materials and Materials Engineering.

Research Interest

Growth by Graphene CVD technique on metal structures and carbon nanotubes on different types of substrates. Fabrication and Characterization of Polymer Matrix Nanocomposites. Manufacture of Flexible Conductors and Conductive Inks based on carbon nanostructures and other metallic structures.
