Biography

Cavus Falamaki has did his PhD in Chemical Engineering 1992-1996, at Amirkabir University of Technology,Tehran, Iran. And in between 1995-1996 has done his PhD as Exchange Student at Federal Polytechnique of Zurich (ETH),Zurich, Switzerland. He is currently working as a Professor (since 2007) at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Amirkabir University of Technology. He has also served the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Tehran, Iran. Also worked as Associate Professor (2006-2007) with the Ceramics Department, Materials and Energy Research Centre, Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Tehran, Iran. He was an Assistant Professor (1997- 2006) at the Ceramics Department, Materials and Energy Research Centre, Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Tehran, Iran. Has taught the Characterization of Nanomaterials, Chemical Engineering Department, Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, since 2012. Also taught Advanced Reactor Design, Chemical Engineering Department at Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, since 2009. Taught Nanofilters and Nanocatalysts, Ceramics Department, Materials and Energy Research Centre, Tehran, Iran, 2005-08. He has also received many awards among which Winner of the 2nd Festival of Iran Biotechnology (Biotech 2013), Top Three Products, The Iranian Biotechnology Development Initiative, Presidency, 2013, Tehran, Iran. Silver Award, Cyber International Genius Inventor Fare 2011, Seoul, Korea. Top Ten National Researchers in Nanotechnology, the Iranian Nanotechnology Initiative, Presidency, 2007, Tehran, Iran. Distinguished Researcher, Materials and Energy Research Centre, Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Tehran, Iran, 2006 are awarded for his excellence in the related fields.

Research Interest

Nanotechnology applications in Chemical adsorption, nano-filtration and molecular modelling.
